Christ has made me bold enough, So I can do the right thing; To endure when times get tough, Coping with what it may bring. I would prefer an appeal, Through the basis of the love; That Jesus Christ would reveal, And would flow down from above. As a man now up in years. And a prisoner of Christ; I am without any fears, Of ever getting enticed. I ask you as my child, As your spiritual father; To remain being mild, Being humble goes farther. Once Christ was useless to you, But now useful for us both; All you have heard being true, And gain your spiritual growth. You can serve Christ where you are, While spreading the Gospel; Telling those both near and far, Anywhere you meet people. I did not want to do much, Without having your consent; But I like to keep in touch, Not to start an argument. Can you do me a favor? By using your own free will; Remembering your Savior, Who inspires to instill. No longer as a slave but, Really better than a slave; As a dear brother to what, Being rescued from the grave. Think of me as a partner, Welcome each one that you meet; Be kind to any foreigner, Offering something to eat. Copyright © 2016 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
