Merry ChristmasTo all my offspring on this Christmas 25/12/16 Love always Mum, Nannie, Grams and Star hugs xxx I loved Christmas back in time When my kids were six and nine Or three, or four, or even ten That time will never come again For they all have flown the nest Christmas used to be the best Faces lit with untold joy Toys for every girl and boy Tiptoeing through the talcum powder Shush...can you get any louder I would say to Santa Dad My you are a likely lad Letters flew up chimneys high Floated right up to the sky Where Santa caught them on the way To bring the toys for Christmas day Mince pies, apples, tinsel too All the things I had to do Loved it though...yes every minute Kept the memories living in it Now they`re gone and kids are grown And Santa comes now for their own. Grandchildren dance around the tree Singing Carols just for me They say you cannot turn back time They`re wrong...these memories are all mine Save them kids for in the end They will be your bestest friend.
