Babbling Brook

Babbling Brook

When I shuffle through
The pages of my life's book
One page carries me to
A babbling brook

It still flows
In my anxious mind
As it used to flow decades ago
In the climate of any kind

I now wonder
Where she could have been
With the witness of the brook
We rehearsed skit-roles “King and Queen”

She-Queen took pleasure in mischief
She used to hide Me-King's kerchief
There we felt our love vibe-chief
I used to hunt for hidden kerchief

Time flew, along with Time
Flown was the kerchief
Babbling brook still recalls
That innocent playful mischief

Reality reduced me to
Very common man
But babbling brook still flows brimful
As if blessed by God man

Where could be she?
Might she be queen or housewife?
However the brook would babble
In my mind for rest of the life
