HUSH THE NIGHT

Hush the night,

In silence

Whisper love,

Deeper as the darkness

Fairer as the moon,

She could have asked

For a little warmth

As she groped in

The cold, yearning

While the fire burns

A kettle,

A little bread graced

Her melancholy....but her

Love too strong that not even

The nightingales can

Surpass its melody.
