Its that time again
January 9th through 19th
Mom was born January 17, 1918
She died January 19, 1972
An orphan abused by marriage
She raised us to believe in Jesus
Mostly the Ten Commandments
On her last day she praised the Lord
Though her life had been poverty
Pain and abuse
Her last words to me
"Jesus is taking me home!"
Sis loved Mom dearly
She died of a stroke on Mom's birthday
She was sixtysix in fair health
But like me January fell into depression
My blood pressure is 157/116
Despite pills it slowly is rising
163/118 I feel the family pain
I do not fear death as much as dying
I closed the door and my eyes are filled
I have to be strong and not crying
If It did not hurt this week I'd be lying
