DOLLY ANN MARIE

Dolly, oh can't you see
You're out of touch with reality
There's no gas in the milk
Electricity passing through you
May feel real as you go by
A certain church
But it ain't real
And it has you in a lurch
You've gone crazy
Mamma's last baby
I have to help you as a nurse
Because my life may be bad now
But never the worst
Like yours has been
And the best thing I can do
Is try to love you
As my little sister
Just as I use to
SORRY, SORRY, SORRY, SORRY
That we didn't have it too good
When we were young
There wasn't much fun to be had
As they did what they could
As mom and dad
Forgive them
Love and live them
Your roots
The hurts
That come and go
How well I know
It all falls down then
The sun comes back around
As the Earth spins
There is no sin
In trying to help another
Live good enough to be smothered
In the joy of life
Once upon a time
Sublime
Fake it at first
As it could be worse...
