The copies of the things, In Heaven must be cleaned; For the evil that clings, Has to be quarantined. But the heavenly things, Has to be purified; Corruption that it brings, Must always be denied. So through sacrifices, That purity will clean; Avoid what entices, Things that are heard or seen. Jesus Christ did not go, Into a holy place; That man not caused to grow, Rather as through His grace. Not an imitation, Modeled after Heaven; But the habitation, The Father had given. Christ went into Heaven, For our sake He went; So the case was given, That He would represent. So each year the chief priest, Went to the holy place; Sacrificed for the feast, With blood for our grace. But Jesus had not been, Sacrificed not each year; Himself time and again, Only once as sincere. He suffered just one time, For all of the ages; Each and every crime, Charged with in all stages. Just one time He appeared, Judgment to remove sin; For those who have revered, With godly discipline. Copyright © 2017 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
