 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

REVISITED

The heartstrings shall be
tethered as were our souls

Soulmates of another lifetime

As they were our fondest memories
of a proper love

Remember when
we frolicked
inside our private space

Flickers of candlelight
let our shadows waltz
upon the walls of forevermore

I glance the dawn of forbidden yesterdays

Longing for the brush of that love
the sound of his pumping heart
the masculine scent he left upon my skin

We cooed beneath applauding stars
and wrapped ourselves inside a midnight cloak

Remember the gentile kiss
and the picnic underneath that ancient tree

We undressed and swam inside lovers creek
I know you too revisit those moments
of our youth and sweet innocence

I carry on and press the roses
of yesteryear
with no regret but sweet memories

Resembling the chocolates we shared
and champagne anniversary's

Now we are but distant photos
captured behind our aging eyes
tho we shall always glance
those days of old....
