I found you as a seedling,
Laying on the ground..
Laying in the shadow,
Of others of your kind.
I picked a spot,
I hope chose well..
And give the best of chance.
A tiny hole,
I placed you in..
And covered you with earth.
A little drink of water,
To keep you warm and moist..
And pat the soil gently,
Then turned and walked away.
What is your fate,
I shall not know..
I did what I could do..
The rest I leave to you.
