The Bad Bird Watcher fronts the
Band. He must be six foot four
That jauntily worn red trilby hat
Making him just that bit more.
And they swing the room,
Fill it full of song,
The audience so willingly
Being carried along.
Sometimes with twelve stringer
Always Cajon and bass
Their music swings and travels
At a pleasing pace
Until all too soon
They perform their last
As the Bad Bird Watcher fronts
That band, the terrific Chequered Past.
