Morning Light

Morning Light

Yesterday now only a day within my past
Put to rest within night time shadows

The web of the Dream Catcher cleared
As the first morning light softly reaches
For the coming of a new day

Reflections born of mirrored glass
Seek to extinguish these moments of quiet solitude
Leaving the whisperings harder to hear and place

Birds sing sweetly
Upon the morning breeze
A gentle reminder
Of chapters now closed to me

Left to memory
Within a book yet to be finished
Upon the road that lies waiting

As surely as tomorrow gives way to yesterday
There will once again come the promise
Of morning light

 Sometimes hard to find
Sometimes hard to face once found

The light within constant search
To overshadow the darkness
That will surely come again
