With the colors of the rainbow You are alive in the sky Floating petals of beauty Too soon gone from my sight Come and rest just a moment Before flying away Bless the heart's of my friends With your beauty today With no thoughts of tomorrow Or what soon could be Touching the blue of the sky You fly magnificently free 
Butterflies of the morning Where are you off to today Would you allow a mere human To watch as you play Your wings softly flutter As you dance on the air Held aloft by soft breezes You have not a care 
I envy your freedom You have no cares to hide No sorrows to darken Your heart as you fly You are a whisper of hope When you're seen in the sky A smile to a heart When it has forgotten how to fly 
For a heart that may be crying My wish is today The peace of butterflies wings That I've left here today May your tomorrows be treasured Your sorrows be few May your daydreams hold beauty To cling tightly on to
