Roads
Roads Long are the roads That leads poets to their pens Within traveled journeys Of tears and joyful smiles Dusty pathways Of what should have Or could have been Lies behind footsteps Placed upon endless miles Dreams laid aside To wonder of what Might have been And yet still waits The road that lies ahead Between the way it was And what is yet to be Calls now the voice That lives Upon the distant wind The journey long The soul begging To somehow be set free Before the distant tomorrows Calls yet once again To follow Upon poet's page Becomes distance now traveled A new day dawns To find a way to take lifes bet Onward we trudge To face life's uncertainties The future just ahead The past now left Perhaps to regret The heart begs To know what lies ahead But cannot see The secrets known Only by taking the next step And yet... Still waits the road That lies ahead Original by Lesa Gay Aka Aspiring Angel allowscriptaccess='always' allowfullscreen='true' frameborder='0'> |
