The kids were coming home
From College at Georgetown Law school and
Driving Cross country in a rental van
The sky was turning black
Somewhere between Oklahoma and Kansas
On the radio was allot of static
But they could hear warnings a Tornado
coming from the town they
just left to the town they were going too
The truck despite full throttle was crawling
They were heading towards an underpass
Things were flying by at high speed
My son with a humor much like his Dad's said,
"Gee was that a cow floating by
and Dorothy and Toto trying to ride it?"
Wife, to be, nearly canceled the wedding
The funnel barely missed them and
in the rain they could barely see
Something like Seattle weather since October
