Poetic-Verses

'' We'll End Up In A Mess ''

For freedom of speech,
We forever persist,
It is out of our reach,
It will never exist.

Our superiors dictate,
What is in fashion,
Be it love or hate,
You must have the passion.

We used to go mad,
With what went before,
Is it good or bad?
That way is no more.

Homophobia was rife,
In the public domain,
Their choice of life,
Did drive some insane.

Transgenders have rights,
Yes, transvestites too,
Don't like men in tights,
Say it now they can sue.

Religion is crazy,
But don't dare blaspheme,
Their facts are so hazy,
Could it all be a dream?

Official secrets do tell,
You'll end up in jail,
Free speech is Hell,
So, don't tell that tale.

Humans love talking,
It's entirely the norm,
Our attitude is shocking,
Yet so true to form.

What we used to say,
Is now contested,
Say it today,
You could be arrested.

You can't say what you want,
So face the cold truth,
If you dare try to taunt,
You'll be in the court booth.

Now the ultimate denial,
Let's gag the press,
Put free speech on trial,

‘' We'll End Up In A Mess ‘'
