 Heart Songs

Somewhere . . . Out There

Somewhere . . . Out There

Somewhere out there
Just beyond the rainbow's end
Are the smiles that have been just waiting
To light our hearts again

In this world of heartache
It is sometimes hard to find our smiles
Within this world of constant motion
We can lose our way for a little while

It seems to me that somewhere
When our heart's cry out in pain
That somewhere in the out there
Each teardrop bears our name

Somewhere out there
Within skies no longer blue
There reaches a hand of comfort
To gently guide us through

Out there . . . Somewhere
Even in the deepest dark of night
There is something or someone waiting
To help make everything alright

I reach to every broken heart
That may someday read my words
Remember that somewhere out there
Children's laughter can still be heard

My heart too has many questions
As I write these words to you
I find myself sometimes doubting
If all of this can be really true

But . . .

Then I hear a whispering
"Have you forgotten that I am love?"
And I know that God is watching
From his somewhere up above

For all who read my words this day
May all your dreams come true
May smiles light your way to sunshine

Out there
In the somewhere . . .

Happiness
Is awaiting dreams to come true
