Poetic-Verses

'' They All Died ''

Killing I abhor,
But I went to war,
Didn't ask what for,
Then I cried.

Though blood I was spilling,
I felt unwilling,
To continue the killing,
Truth denied.

Those I didn't know,
Will never grow,
It's death we sow,
Hurt inside.

Why? don't ask,
Don't take them to task,
Reality wears a mask,
They are snide.

Take credit when winning,
Where's the new beginning,
It's lies they are spinning,
Classified.

Though conflict is rife,
Be it gun or the knife,
They don't take a life,
They stand aside.

After being misled,
Our blood was shed,
Medals for the dead?
Satisfied.

When destruction ends,
Politicians become friends,
Our heart never mends,
Loss of pride.

We who are left,
Some turn to theft,
Homeless and bereft,
On the slide.

While some live on,
To see that new dawn,
Millions are gone,
