The kids and Grandkids find mates of their own
It leaves Grandpa alone
And yet in a happy place
For he has his own space
And watching the kids grow
He is proud to know
That this job is done
And seeing them he has done it well
Today is moving day for Granddaughter
College Grad to a working girl
She loves her new job
Runs an auction to help the poor
Her love of public service cannot ignore
Graduating from high school youngest
A hockey aviation school out of State
The oldest finals now a Junior
After years being at their games
I well follow them on the computer
I remember the day I graduated
Not the brightest of futures
Threw my cap and was working the next day
Off we go into the wild blue yonder
Minimum education nights alone in Emergency room
