I kinda like it
This year constant rain
The weeds kinda
Lost in tall grass in my own garden
At an age when knees are quaking
Pulling weeds on belly snaking
I bought one of those knee pullups
Kneel down and get up with pushup
Only I left it where I started to weed
End of the day trapped in place
Couldn't roll or I was stuck in space
Push and pull I had to crawl
Lady walking her dog saw it all
"Are you hurt do you need help?"
All the mutt could do was yelp
"No, but I am just a little embarrased
Got on the ground and cannot get up!"
"Well you know sir it is starting to rain."
I'm sliding down the hill that's a little strange
Wife yelled out dear it's time for breakfast
Might as well call it a day I finally got up
Tomorrow I well put the knee pad where I might end
I'd guess that about two feet from yesterday
You know--the older you get you just can't bend
Maybe I'll be able to work until lunch
