Aspiring Angel
As A Novice

Within my heart lives a little angel
That has just now found her wings
She has become my way to speak to you
Through the words I humbly bring

As you grow to know us
Within these hallowed halls
Remember your inward
Aspiring Angel
One lives within us all

Her whisperings
Keep calling to me
Listen...
I'll speak the words to you

Between the two of us
We must find a way to ease a heart
Through life lessons we've worked through

Aspiring speaks of heartaches
Hopes and fears
Through poet's pen and by my hand
She sometimes brings a tear

She whispers her love of family
And of those we hold so dear
Recorded thoughts upon poet's page
For those who care to hear

She comes to me at the oddest times
This impish little muse
Voice persistent to my heart

'Go before your keys
I need to talk with you'

She speaks often of a lesson learned
Or of an injustice of the day
So much this world has given us
To secretly hide away

It is her voice softly whispering
Your message must be clear
If we are ever to earn our wings
We must strive to dry some tears

You want to leave a message
Friend I am here for you
I'll guide your words upon the page
Your heart will speak the clues

Remember now
I've only found my wings
A novice I am too

Perhaps...

Between the two of us
We can touch a heart or two

Aspiring Angel now is my name
When I write upon any page
A penname spoken softly
When my little angel came

No fancy words will you find
It's just my heart and you
Through whisperings of
Aspiring Angel
Urging me to speak to you

Someday .... Somehow
We may truly find our wings
Life is but a journey
To the greatest heart song to sing

I am not a philosopher
Perhaps a poet . . .
Well we'll see
