Not necessarily the Seattle Times
An e-mail message came from the Editor
Policy of helping the homeless
The Transvestites Gays Lesbians
Immigrants from all countries
Gang members and dopes
The Editors goal is
Saving lives of the addicted
I thought back to the fifties sixties
Graduation from high school finding a job
Two restrooms boys and girls
You figured out which one you were
Poor, you found work, a job, picked beans
Strawberries and poor ate allot
Fishing for food the American River
Tent city was a weekend out camping
Not drugging under the freeway
Drugges were doppers dopes
In our school they were shown the ropes
Not promoted by the Major for government funds
You did the crime you did the time
Angry you duked it out not settled with a stolen gun
Mexico was south of the California border
Casinos were not robbing elderly Social Security checks
God help America from itself
Reality of times we live in!
