 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

I cannot see the moon,
Because of the monsoon;
Rain falling all around,
Thunder makes crashing sound.

When will all of it end,
God, a sign can you send?
Will it end over night?
Or wait till morning light?

We need rain but not much,
Causing us floods as such;
Damaging crops and home,
As it leaks through the dome.

Please give me peace of mind,
You are gentle and kind;
By giving us a sign,
The vineyard gives good wine.

I hear thunder above,
Flashing lightning thereof;
I stay home in the dark,
No need for to embark.

Is lightning a formed wrath?
Keeping me on the path;
A means to show the way,
Not to detour or stray.

Guide me through tomorrow,
Without seeing sorrow;
Showing me through each breath,
Rescue me from dark death.

As I lie to get rest,
Recharge to do my best;
Up at the light of day,
As the sun does obey.

Breaking apart the cloud,
Shining down on the crowd;
Blessing us O so much,
Warmth from Your gentle touch.

Though we do not merit,
To what we inherit;
You shine on us with love,
Till taken up above.
