Foreigner

Foreigner
The lane used to routine familiar
Saw the spirit hairy unfamiliar
Fascinating brown unaccustomed stature
Blue eyed, captured attention its rapture

“Marvelous Dog” murmured I at the door
Suddenly I heard disturbing uproar
Stray dogs at the lane –the stalwarts
With traditional barking rushed towards

Grumbling, rumbling hiked growling
Suspicion seized the baffled sibling
Angry pack pounced upon stranger delicate
With claws, Beauty they could mutilate

Devils danced in avenging furies
Curled up Brown succumbed to injuries
It was cold and cold was peace
Peace thy name is soul-the spiritual peace

Knowledge is love and love is Nature's law
And ignorance red in tooth and claw
