Still the pine stands tall and true

Soft whispers on the winds of time

Sweet kisses left for love to find

A tree with two hearts intertwined

The woodman cried: 'Don't chop that pine'

Romantic walks on summer nights

Roll closer when it's cold outside

Marriage vows are worth the rice

When both hearts work the plough and scythe

Speed the time of love's embrace

The joy that greets a newborn face

It's grandma now and grandpa too

And still the pine stands tall and true
