Volatility

At first he said he would
Then he said he couldn't
And then he changed his mind
And decided that he wouldn't.

He said he did but he didn't
But when asked why
He said he never had
That it was all just a lie.

Stories to the contrary
Were all just wrong
Malevolent really
He'd been right all along.

He threw a little paddy
Rushed down his drink
And on his way home
He had a little think.

It was then he realised
Someone else was to blame
And he had a little campaign
Just to blacken their name.

And so they left his circle,
A sordid little end
But who really needs that
Type of person as a friend.

I heard  he still carries on,
In his mind a chivalrous knight,
Armoured with the certainty
Of always being in the right.
