Mother to All

Mother to All

At child dawn
The crow of the cock from hen-coup reached cradle
Night was telling tales to baby
Who lay snug and cosy
Her warm untiring hands stopped rocking
In the courtyard souls innocent were waiting
Wait-that was usual wait
That wooden gate, Oh! No! Heavenly gate
At gate she stood with sky size love
She strewed food grains with voice crackling
Bent down their necks to pick tiny bits of love
Happy waves spread by chickens thrilled a duckling
Hen cackled, started to feed the lane duckling
She the great soul was blessing cock-duck bony by winnowing
Puppies licked her toes and kittens clutched her feet
Dog and cat lingered around
In the twilight dawn was spell bound
With golden ray melted frozen dew on roof
O! Mother! Nature's kids are warm under your roof
Dripped tender love sounded “Love All”
The Sun red watched “Mother to All”
