Melancholia
Melancholia is your soul crying while you sleep,
Melanchoia is Depression buried ever so deep,
That light on the horizon may appear so far away,
Never lose faith that there will be a cure one day
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Storms clouds gathering over my peace of mind,
A place of sanctuary, almost impossible to find,
I find I'm unable to share my traumas and pain,
Reliving mankind's hell in my tormented brain.
Panic Disorders
Terror, fear, quietly sensing the air,
Danger lurks, but I know not where,
It's hard to breathe, I just want to flee,
Panic rises within, like drowning at sea
Psychosis
I listen to voices in my head,
Oft times derogatory as they can,
I hate when my voices go quiet,
For I know not what they plan.
Co-Dependency
Being told what to do, Being told what to say,
Who I can have as friends, how to spend my day,
He needs me in this role, but I still have a choice,
I can be who I am or listen to the master's voice
Ignorance and stigma
They're none so blind as those who refuse to see,
For what mental health is about, especially for me,
Your stigma is my curse, but ignorance is your choice,
Are you receptive to listening to the “Master's Voice”
All these verses went with a photograph depicting mental health issues.
It was part of an exhibition to enlighten some in our local community.
