 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

Once you were not a Jew,
At least not physically;
Uncircumcised were you,
But were spiritually.

A time without Christ,
Without citizenship;
A land that has enticed,
In a relationship.

The pledges that God made,
Had been foreign to you;
No hope being afraid,
Of what really is true.

But now through Jesus Christ,
Who was once far away;
Heard He was sacrificed,
Because you went astray.

You were bought by His blood,
Making Him our peace;
And through the crimson flood,
Your old life now did cease.

He ended the demands,
That Moses once had taught;
As well as the commands,
From Sinai Moses sought.

So Christ made peace for God,
Brought us back through the cross;
So we honor and laud,
Our gain was His loss.

He came with the Gospel,
Of peace for you and me;
Spreading to all people,
So all able to see.

No longer foreigners here,
But subjects together;
To respect and revere,
As we all do gather.

As built in the Spirit,
With others in a place;
Where we all inherit,
Through His mercy and grace.
