Don't Tread On Me.

the rules don't apply
but unequally
I don't heed them
who needs them
but those who'd have control
or the illusion of it

I can perfectly or imperfectly control
myself
I don't need a pattern
nor a guide to be myself
nor to be somewhat improved for someone else's means

its preferable to have the gift of some latitude
and honesty and truth
and a berth that's wide
a kind of  pass without confrontation
yet they pass more and more rules without
any hesitation
really? (and why?)

how is someone supposed to have
room to live and breathe...
if I'm always someone else's eyesore or problem
why do I have no place nor inalienable right to live?

my right is their right to deny
nor give

yet
it would behoove them
if anyone made
an attempts
to persuade, crusade, cajole or
or bruise them
and their precious super-ceding rights

what if I
delivered them under their
very same boot?
took away their civil liberties
said any legal argument was moot?

it would be:
Waaah waaah wahh
you can can't kick me down
you can't pick on me
I have my rights
I make a lot of money
I own this town
I'll make it so hard on you
if you try to take my kodacrhome away
I'll...I'll
send my attorney your way
and you will regret the day
you were born

them-them-them
with their dirt-brown shirt suits
and their high top step-on jack boots
and their self-serving lawyer's rules

don't tread on me
you think you've fed on me
but soon enough
your Romanesque Empire will all come crashing down.

MELOO STRAIGHT FROM HER TILT-A-WORLD

I AM TALKING ABOUT THE TYRANNY OF UNACCEPTANCE
IN SO MANY WAYS IN THIS WORLD, NOT JUST THE
CORPORATISTS, AND HOW ITS SETS PEOPLE AGAINST
ONE ANOTHER, CREATES CONTROVERSY AND DIFFICULTY
WHERE THERE OUGHT TO BE UNDERSTANDING AND CONCILIATORY ACTION,
WHERE PEOPLE OUGHT TO WORK TOGETHER TO OVERCOME.

WHAT SOME PEOPLE MISTAKE FOR MOROSENESS IS MERELY
MY HONEST, STRAIGHT HIT OUT OF THE PARK POINT OF VIEW.
IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME
ITS NO SKIN OFF OF MY NOSE/ I WILL SURVIVE OR HAVE
AN AMUSED CHUCKLE OVER IT.
