MERGING
Multiple voyages await vehicles of choice
based on opportunities or situation's voice.
Whether grasping dreams or yeilding to circumstances,
cooling private flames or following the slow dances,
most are on the move, and are not overly concerned
that others may need to switch, exit the flow, or join.
At times distractions or diverse velocities clash
that generate rage of disrespect's disruptive flash.
Those involved often reject the realization,
others exist with equal rights at this location.
There is not as much conflict in the existing flow
as happens when someone tries to join the current row.
Merging has rules and can be quite unproblematic,
depending on the attitudes of all those at it.
Some respect is due for those already in the stream.
When this rule's neglected, the resulting conflict teems.
Using a signal just shows a degree of respect,
revealing to others your predetermined intent.
Attempt to join the pace at the speed of those in line,
or simply wait your turn for a vacant spot behind.
Some don't realize until the journey is complete,
that there's more than enough road; no reason to compete.
Regardless of the size or the color of the means,
savvy merging skills can result in successful teams.
Tolerance, a two-way process on a one-way road.
Respect, a delightful given in the ethics code.
Love, when tolerance expands within a heart of gold,
caring for the safe success of every dear soul.
Don't forget the gratitude for those who let you in,
and for Him, Who prepared for us all, roads without end.
