Depressed or sad, clinically mad,
Life feels too much,
So out of touch.
Can't tell you how I feel inside,
Feelings are numbed by the tears I cry!
No way out! no help...
It comes back... oh boy!!
My emotions are like missiles set to destroy!
I feel them creeping in like a thief in the night.
Like a creeping smog obscuring my sight!
You cant escape it as the depression sits in wait,
Caught in a black web of depressions fate!!
An injury concealed from the naked eye,
Pain that physically effects your heart and your eyes,
A heavy heart .. shallow breath,
Spiralling inside misery's depth.
It feels tangible to me, like a poisonous vine,
Numbing my feelings.. copious amounts of wine,
Gripping me & dragging me deep inside,
Constantly fighting it, no I cry!
Pulling me & dragging me,
Deep inside,
Fighting to hold on with every tear I cry.
It's a constant battle everyday
But Lord I look up to you and I pray,
Save me Lord from this constant curse,
Release me from this insipid thirst!
No more misery, strife, or feelings of despair, as I inhale and exhale life's intoxicating air.
Peace embrace me, and release these chains,
Free me from all of the unseen pain!!
Depression can't win today, as I won't give in!
But depression you see, is sitting in wait ..
Depression .. Is the name of this emotional fate!!
