Oh the longings of a past - now distant - Where the memories could stray - through Imagination's musings - to a time when all seemed Play - but my friend - it's time to leave - and Close the the page of yester-year - and Place a ribbon of thanksgiving - sealed With love - and no shed tear . Time is ever moving forward - with its Progress - on it goes - chills of Winter are Descending - cooling hands - and nipping toes - But - hidden in its frozen beauty - lie the seeds of Hope to come - and - in the shadowlands and Valleys - the Good Shepherd - calls His Loved ones home . So - my dear friends - do not murmer - Though the skies have turned to grey - faith Must rise above the storm clouds - where the sun Still casts a ray - giving light - to lead us onward - to The realms of Heaven above - step by step - Keep moving forward - to the Father's Heart of love . Love - that says - the journey's over - Love that welcomes us within - those wondrous Gates - and Peace forever - far from Earth's debilitating Sin - Oh such mercy - grace and wonder - will feast our eyes On that great shore - when we leave these mortal Shrouds of sorrow - and enter Heaven's Open Door .
