Death of an Artist
The pen's dusty
It sits in the corner by a tattered paperback
He sits at the desk at a whim
But it's too late
The darkness has crept in
The blank pages are a mirror
They reflect a tombstone that reads
"Killed by Ambition"
The glass stays damp
It sits where the fire once burned in his gut
It sits in the corner by a tattered paperback
He sits at the desk at a whim
But it's too late
The darkness has crept in
The blank pages are a mirror
They reflect a tombstone that reads
"Killed by Ambition"
The glass stays damp
It sits where the fire once burned in his gut
