I am thankful unto the Lord,
Who I serve with a clear conscience;
Always being in one accord,
For giving me my common sense.
I remember you in my prayers,
As I do through each day and night;
Because of knowing that He cares,
That you are doing what is right.
I am remembering your tears,
From all your toil and sorrow;
Let God fill joy within your fears,
To give a brighter tomorrow.
Your sincere faith that I recall,
That was alive in your mother;
Able to catch you when you fall,
And likely to help another.
I remind you to fan the flame,
Rekindling your gift from the Lord;
Remember to always proclaim,
How much He is loved and adored.
For God has given His Spirit,
Not of fear rather of power;
For self-control in your merit,
Causing His blessings to shower.
Be not ashamed to testify,
About the Lord for His sake;
And never trying to deny,
Rather others that must awake.
He saved us with holy calling,
Not being based on our deeds;
Rather not to be appalling,
For satisfying sinful needs.
The appearance of Jesus Christ,
Has broken the power of death;
So that the Gospel is enticed,
For bringing life after last breath.
Guard what is entrusted in you,
Through the Holy Spirit who lives;
Giving a sound mind to construe,
Through the power of love, He gives.
