Sorrowful yet rejoicing,
As poor yet having much wealth;
Concerns are not invoicing,
About your spiritual health.
You act like having nothing,
Except the clothes on your back;
Yet possess everything,
Except for the faith you lack.
We have been speaking freely,
Our hearts are open wide;
That is making you really,
Feeling empty deep inside.
You are never restricted,
But you restrict affections;
Your thoughts have contradicted,
Causing you some afflictions.
I ask you widen your heart,
You being as a child;
Being righteously in part,
No longer being wild.
Be not unequally yoked,
With any unbelievers;
Because they have mocked and joked,
Us as being deceivers.
What partnership is lawless,
Righteousness with anarchy;
Are immoral ways flawless?
Just a bunch of malarkey.
What fellowship would embark,
As communion having light;
When they wander in the dark,
Having spiritual insight.
Of what accord as would Christ,
Having with Satan to share;
A believer be enticed,
To venture where others dare.
What accord has the temple,
With the idols and false gods;
As written in the Gospel,
All of them are merely frauds.
So be separate from them,
Touch nothing that is impure;
Or the Lord just might condemn,
With agony to endure.
