THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME

Reflection and hindsight - one in the past - and 
One that yet could be - but neither in the present - 
Where we live - in true reality - the first looks back into
The memories of yesterday - where good and bad may blur -
And merge - revealed - co-joined in their own way - but with
Hindsight - we may wonder how things might have been -
If only we had known - would we have walked a 
Different path - and thereby changed the past -
And the shape of things to come .

But -

We cannot live in past regrets - or waste our lives 
On things we cannot change - but we must take each
Moment as it comes - and leave the rest in God's own hands -
No safer place - no better way - within the confines of His plans -
And His designs - of love and peace - a place of refuge from 
The storms - that toss us back and forth - a place where 
Even wars and desolations cease .

Yes -

No better place indeed - a Haven and a Home -

So - on that note -

May all our choices be towards the - Only One -

Who shapes our lives - and leads us on -

To better things to come .

From my own experience , there have been times when
I have questioned my actions to the extent that maybe
things could have been so different if I had obeyed the 
voice of God , and trusted that He knew best for my life .

How different  my life may have turned out , and how
wonderful it may have been  if I had trusted Him more .
But, I have learned that it is pointless living in the past 
with all its regrets . So I take one day at a time , and try
to do my best , and I believe that is all God asks of His 
children .

So be encouraged today , and thank the Lord that He has 
got your life in His hands as He leads you forward into
the shape of things to come ..
