The Glory Of God

We Penecostals are peculiar ...
We shout Glory! Praise the Lord!
With any mention of our Jesus
We may begin to shout real hard!

Some may think we're helter skelter...
That we must have a missing screw...
But if the Glory ever touched them
They would do some shouting, too!

Now, God commanded Light to shine
On what the Word of God imparts...
That Light shone out of the darkness
And that Light shines in our hearts!

O, we are filled with all the fullness
Of the Glory of our God!
It shone in the face of Jesus
When He walked upon this sod!

And we, the ones with unveiled faces,
We will all reflect His Glory...
As we are changed into His image...
As we share and spread His story.

The Glory's not found in religion.
It's not in books or education.
It's not in anyone in particular
But in all of those whose adoration

Is in the precious Son of God...
In those who comfortly will nestle
In His Word and do His Will.
Yes, it dwells in earthen vessels.

Pentecostal worship may seem strange...
Hands are raised and tears may fall...
But we're not strange we're just in love
And Jesus is our all in all.

We're often overwhelmed by which
He pours upon us from above.
We love to bask in all God's goodness...
In all God's Glory and His love.

~~Dedicated to Cathy~~

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only
Son, who came
from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 11:40
Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the
glory of God?"

2nd Cor. 4:7
Our bodies are made of clay, yet we have the treasure
of the Good News in them. This shows that the superior
power of this treasure belongs to God and doesn't come from us.
