When God calls us to His Domain...
He places us in one set lane.
To try to change lanes could entail
To be found wanting or to fail.
In ministry all have a place.
We're given gifts to run this race.
One may preach and one may sing
Or writing poems may be one's thing.
Whatever God has called us to...
Is exactly what we need to do.
We'll spread the Word as we're assigned...
As long as we remain inclined
To be where He's called us to be.
We should know our place in ministry.
Remember changing lanes could cause
An interruption or a pause.
A burnout or bang-up collision...
Which could mar our ministry's provision. But the right lane's where our blessings rest...
Not good or better but the best!
Our God equips the ones He'll call...
He does it for the good of all.
He expects us to trust and obey...
And to stay in our lane all the way.
We were bought with such a heavy price...
Seems we'd want to follow God's advice
And not listen to the tempter's voice...
To disqualify us is his choice.
So, ready, set, let's run this race!
Think of the smile on our Lord's face!
And think of that ole tempter's pain!
When we finish first in our own lane!

(Always A Warrior)
I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the
brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.
Ecclesiastes 9:11
Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us
Hebrews 12:1
Jesus ran His race, He didn’t stray into someone else’s lane, he followed Heaven’s course for Him, and was able to say:
“I have finished the work which You have given Me to do"
JOHN 17:4
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race
I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for
me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,
will award to me on that Day, and not only to me
but also to all who have loved his appearing
