You
came along
and made me
laugh when I had
even lost my smile,
stealing my heart
with the music in
your laughter.
You
came along
and helped me
see when I'd been
blinded by past tears,
illuminating my darkness
from within your soul
laden with hope.
You
came along
and brought me
warmth and comfort
in a world grown cold,
enveloping me in your
steady arms of
protection.
You
came along
and taught me
the meaning of trust
when my faith in men
was all but vanished;
you reclaimed me
with your honesty.
You
came along
and swept me forward
with a longing so intense
I couldn't help but offer
my kisses and meet
your desire with
equal craving.
You
came along
and instilled in me
such a feeling of peace;
a calmness that's born
of recognizing in you
a kindred spirit
in so many ways.
You
came along...
and I'm so profoundly
grateful and so blessed,
knowing in my being that
God's perfect timing
is what made sure
that you did.
