Your handsome, striking face
never leaves my thoughts,
as if a painting in my mind
needs to be brought to life.
The way the skin, so warm
and tan creases next to your eyes
when I make you smile is like
ripples on a sandy shore where
the waves caressed it.
When you look at me and
pull me in close to your heart
the world falls away and
I free fall into a space
where only we exist
within one another.
When you kiss my lips
so tenderly, time melts away,
flowing through us and
suspending our hearts
together, motionless
and free.
How did we find each other,
sifting through the endless
miles of previous experience?
Circumstances drew us together
and love keeps us always
connected in heart.
