Pride is mainly a deceiver...
I won't let it cross my mind.
I remember my accomplishments
Were always God designed.
I want to always remain humble...
Words which flatter I'll decline.
Compliments must reflect God...
He's the One I want to shine.
He's gifted me and I feel blessed....
He is awesome and He's kind
I thank Him for the beauty that
He pours into my mind.
He paints pictures to perfection
I hope this doesn't sound absurd
But with lessons to be learned
He'll have me poeticize each word.
So many times I feel unworthy
That He'd choose the likes of me...
There are others with more learning...
Who'd write more effectively.
Yet when I speak to Him of this
I can almost hear Him smile...
He lets me know He's satisfied
With my presentation, with my style.
Yes, we're a team the Lord and I
But the praise must all go up above.
I'm just a vessel He will use
To pour out more of His amazing love.
