Racing

,Last night I was young again,
In dreams reliving my past,
Reliving experiences
I thought were long lost.

She'd mount me proudly
At the start of our race
So many expressions flitting
Across her moving face
Trot, canter gallop
Joy, smiles, passion
As she rode on and on
In uninhibited fashion

Two naked bodies
Both lightly docked
Two pairs of eyes
Both firmly locked
Bottomless depths to drown in
As we ran out steeplechase
Never quite knowing when
We'd reach the end of our race

Until the finish line approached
With wild moans and screams
Which jerked me abruptly
Right out of my dreams.
So many years ago
And yet amazingly I find
Those vibrant memories
Are still fresh In my mind

We still meet by chance
Every once in a while
And, riding days long gone,
Just share our special smile.
