As chosen one of God,
Being loved and holy;
Compassionate hearts laud,
As the one and only.
Such patience and meekness,
With great humility;
Strengthens our weakness,
For more stability.
Forbearing each other,
And able to forgive;
Quarrel not your brother,
Harmonious to live.
The Lord has forgiven,
So that you must pardon;
Quelch what has been driven,
Yield hearts that are harden.
Above all put on love,
Which binds us together;
Harmony from above,
Blends us as we gather.
So, let the peace of Christ,
Be ruling in your heart;
Desires sacrificed,
That your mind would impart.
Allow the Word of Christ,
Richly dwell within you;
Block from being enticed,
Earthly subjects in view.
Sing with grace to the Lord,
Singing spiritual songs;
Being in one accord,
Show who your heart belongs.
And whatever you do,
Being in word and deed;
Remaining to be true,
He helps you to succeed.
Knowing that from the Lord,
All that you will receive;
His gift as your reward,
If you truly believe.
