Do not overlook the fact,
About one day with the Lord;
A thousand years to react,
As one day in one accord.
One day as a thousand years,
A thousand years as one day;
Being without any fears,
Merely to trust and obey.
The Lord not slow to fulfill,
His promise as some will count;
Rather patience to instill,
Total blessings to amount.
Not wishing that any perish,
Rather that all should repent;
Because the Lord does cherish,
All who would enter His tent.
The Day of the Lord shall come,
Just like a thief in the night;
He will chase away the scum,
As the righteous come to light.
Heaven will pass with a roar,
All shall melt with fervent heat;
As the earth burns to the core,
Being trampled by His feet.
All these things to be dissolved,
As people with godliness;
The ones having been evolved,
As righteous for holiness.
Looking forward of that day,
For the coming of the Lord;
Heaven and earth melts away,
Iniquities have been cured.
But to His promise we wait,
For the new Heaven and earth;
Where righteousness dwells is great,
A new era brings new birth.
