Give an ear to my words,
Consider my groaning;
Your doctrine of standards,
That causes my moaning.
For my meditation,
And the sound of my cry;
Looks for Your attention,
For seeing eye to eye.
You are my King and God,
For to You do I pray;
Giving honor and laud,
Who I trust and obey.
I know You hear my voice,
The morning I prepare;
A sacrificial choice,
Of myself that I share.
You never will delight,
Wickedness and evil;
Things that dwell in the night,
Conjured by the devil.
The boastful shall not stand,
Braggers before Your eyes;
They ignore Your command,
Destroy those who speak lies.
The Lord abhors deceit,
Loathes those whose blood they thirst;
All of those who does cheat,
Will evermore be cursed.
But through Your steadfast love,
Abundance of mercy;
With Your grace from above,
Cures my iniquity.
Lead me to righteousness,
Make Your way straight for me;
Bathe me in blessedness,
Giving insight to see.
For my mouth knows no truth,
Inner self destructive;
Being rude and uncouth,
Evil gets seductive.
A refuge must be built,
Make Your favor a shield;
Confessing of my guilt,
Erase what is concealed.
