My soul clings to the dust,
Give me life from the Word;
For it is fair and just,
Because my soul is stirred.
I have declared my ways,
The Lord has answered me;
I continue to praise,
Opens my eyes to see.
He taught me His statutes,
Makes me to understand;
As my faith grow deep roots,
Showing what He has planned.
Wondrous works I reflect,
As my soul melts away;
Sorrow who does reject,
Since they were led astray.
But His Word gives me strength,
Avoiding the false ways;
Persevering the length,
Resisting as who strays.
I am taught graciously,
Chosen for faithfulness;
And living righteously,
He continues to bless.
I will not be ashamed,
Of His testimonies;
Remain to be proclaimed,
And deny the phonies.
I will run in His way,
For enlarging my heart;
Love, honor and obey,
His commandments impart.
