I charge you before the Lord, Who shall charge the quick and dead; The warnings that were ignored, Doing sinful things instead. Appearing at His Kingdom, Be ready for the reproof; Assorting with the whoredom, In your mind God sees the proof. The time comes you not endure, Complete patience and teaching; Itching ears comes from the lure, Lusts grabbing in its reaching. Because of your own passion, You turn away from the truth; Myths and fables you fashion, Causing you to be uncouth. Always be sober-minded, Work as an evangelist; Never become so blinded, By wickedness that exist. Fulfill of your ministry. Being poured out as a drink; Preaching of the mystery, Food for thought that they can think. Time has come for departure, I fought the fight, won the race; Awaiting for the rapture, Keeping my faith for His grace. For a crown of righteousness, In His glory being held; Because of my faithfulness, Given when in Heaven dwelled. The righteous judge is the Lord, All who love Him appearing; Those who are in one accord, Displaying their revering. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
