Blessed is the man who walks not, In the counsel of the evil; For the ungodly they have sought, The path that leads to the devil. Nor stands in the way of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of scoffers; Avoiding the discipliners, For tempting what Satan offers. But his delight is in the Law, Law of the Lord he meditates; The Lord has been pruning the flaw, Gives new life that resuscitates. Like a tree planted by streams, That yield its fruit in its season; Before the leaves withered sunbeams, Unto the snow as the reason. The ungodly wicked not so, Like the chaff driven by the wind; For it is nothing that they know, About how to be disciplined. Therefore the wicked will not stand, As well as the ungodly mind; That the Lord should be in command, But they will never be aligned. Sinners in the congregation, Congregation of the righteous; Conforming to regulation, And for making them more conscious. For the Lord is knowing the way, With the path towards the righteousness; Which mainly to trust and obey, And following with graciousness. What the ungodly does cherish, The path that follows the devil; But the wicked way will perish, For the Lord wins over evil. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
