Bless the Father of our Lord, For abundant mercy and grace; A renewed hope as to afford, Of a living hope to embrace. Born again to a living hope, A resurrection after death; And tolerance helps us to cope, In living to our last breath. An inheritance unfading, And that is imperishable; Undefiled by pervading, In Heaven as treasurable. By His power being guarded, Through your faith for salvation; And you are being rewarded, In being a new creation. For a while, you will rejoice, But have grieved about the trials; Throughout the years it was your choice, Each temptation that defiles. Because your faith has been tested, Like precious gold tested by fire; Glory and honor invested, When you resisted by desire. You love Him through you have not seen, And you rejoice since you believe; He is present where you have been, Being full of glory you receive. Of your faith received in the end, Even the salvation of your soul; Because God is also your friend, Being in Heaven is your goal. Copyright ©2022 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
