We know love, He laid down His life, As we ought to for our brother; Helping them through toils and strife, Shows that we care for each other. If anyone has worldly goods, Sees another brother in need; Guide them out of the darkened woods, For sharing is making a good deed. Yet if you are closing your heart, How does the love of God abide; And are unable to impart, Not releasing it from inside. Let’s not love in the Word or talk, Rather doing in deed and truth; In the footsteps of the Lord walk, Never arrogant nor uncouth. By this, we know that we are true, Reassures our heart to Christ; On His path that we continue, Let ourselves be sacrificed. God is greater than our heart, And He is knowing everything; Is willing to give a new start, With all the blessings it will bring. Copyright ©2023 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
